POO 505R, Ford Escort RS1800 MkII, 1:43 Scale Model

POO 505R is the car that Roger Clark & Stuart Pegg used to achieve victory on the 1976 RAC Rally. The car was a MkII RS1800 in the famous Red Cossack livery, and for British fans probably the most famous MkII Escort ever made. This was the second RAC victory for the MkII Escort, and for Roger, this time with navigator Stuart Pegg. The Escort won this event a further 7 times and became one of the most successful rally cars of all time. A young Finn by the name of Henri Toivonen broke the Escort domination in 1980 driving a Talbot Sunbeam. And the year after rallying was to change forever with the introduction of 4 wheel drive and the Audi Quattro.

This fantastic, accurate and highly detailed die cast 1:43 scale model pays tribute to POO 505R and is a must for Ford Escort fans and model collectors.
