Audi Quattro - High Quality Poster Print from original photograph available in A4 & A3 sizes.
"Right lets Fire up the Quattro" - This must be one of the best TV lines ever courtesy of Gene Hunt (Philip Glennister) in the UK BBC TV drama "Ashes to Ashes". This series was fantastic, gripping, period drama, with a bit of time travelling, and delivered some truly memorable lines. The real stars of the show were of course the exceptional cast including Philip Glennister (Gene Hunt), Keeley Hawes (Alex), Dean Lancaster (Raymondo), Marshall Lancaster (DC Chris Skelton), but series producers had a surprise for car fans up their sleeve - the inclusion of the Iconic Mars Red Audi Quattro....
The Audi Quattro is an amazing vehicle and took the world by storm when launched onto the World Rally stage in 1980s. Audi were the first to use a four wheel drive system and it proved very successful. So much so that every other manufacturer had to build a four wheel drive Rally Car to keep up. The Audi Quattro was the worlds first volume produced four wheel drive high performance road car and pushed forward the boundaries for building safer cars.
Here we have an abstract image captured by photographer and car enthusiast Marcus Pomfret at the Silverstone Auction at Carfest South of a beautiful 1987 example finished in original Mars Red colour scheme. Fascinated by cars from a young age Marcus is obsessed by most things motorsport. Combined with a career as a professional photographer Marcus has amassed a unique collection of images that indulge his passion and celebrate iconic vehicles and motorsporting achievements. Using abstract style and composition Marcus aims to capture important and iconic details of the cars featured. Sometimes it is just a line, colour or collection of colours and letters; in other images the vehicles are much more recognisable. The images celebrate iconic cars, epic drives and famous victories across the world race and rally stage, and make great birthday, Christmas and celebration gifts for any motorsport enthusiast.
